Flight Crowd is proud to support and present during this year’s Urban Air Mobility: Innovation in Air Transport virtual conference held by the AeroPodium on Thursday 11th February 2021 (10.00 EST / 15.00 GMT / 16.00 CET).
Some issues to be discussed include: UAM Ecosystem Overview, UAM Aircraft: eVTOL, The Vertiport / Aerodrome - Flight Services, Vertical Flight Systems / Air Traffic Management, Multi-modal Transportation Integration.
As a part of our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) outreach strategy, we were invited by the Tiffin School’s Engineering Society to share our knowledge and enthusiasm for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) with students currently in KS4 and KS5 (14-18 years old).
We are keen to connect with and be the role models that young people need. We also hope to help cultivate the next generation of experts in the aviation and UAM industries who will shape a sustainable and safe future for us all.
In a continuation of our ongoing collaboration with the Institution of Engineering and Technology's Aerospace TN (IET), we hosted a webinar entitled ‘Urban Air Mobility: Hype or Hope’ alongside Sameer Savani, Head of Innovation and Engineering at Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space (ADS), as a lead speaker.
The webinar provided a general introduction to UAM, covered a UK perspective of how we see the sector developing and concluded with an open debate on the challenges that need to be addressed to realise market potential.
For part of this year’s Farnborough Friday Flight Crowd, in collaboration with The Institution of Engineering and Technology's Aerospace TN (IET), has prepared a ‘Your future in the era of Urban Air Mobility’ presentation.
The slides aim to give an entry-level overview of UAM to those less familiar with the industry as well as provide some answers to some common questions.
The presentation would be most relevant to both the younger generation and professionals looking for a career in the future of flight.
